"Americana"

20" x 20", acrylic on canvas. Americana is defined as the concern with ordinary aspects of historic American culture. Jazz, carnivals, muscle cars, baseball and folklore are all unique to the American experience. What I wanted to accomplish with the series was to give the effect of a painting created on old barn wood, or possibly the notion of an heirloom quilt with it's myriad of colors and panels.
